The purpose of the visit was to establish business contacts and present investment projects to potential Canadian partners. As a part of his visit, Marek Konieczny – President of the Board of KO-MED Centra Kliniczne presented investment opportunities in the biotechnology industry.President Marek Konieczny attended meetings with the Minister of Development  and the Prime Minister of Ontario which took place in the Ontario Parliament. He also met Ontario deputies of Polish origin. In addition, a representative of KO-MED Centra Kliniczne Management Board held meetings at the General Consulate, including one with members of the Polish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

The economic mission was undertaken in response to the invitation of the European Foundation for Social Activity and Canadian Polonia. The head of the Polish delegation was Przemysław Czarnek – the Lublin Province Governor, and the delegation included Polish entrepreneurs.
